Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - PTISD District Holiday

Today upperclassmen in the automotive program attended the North Texas Automobile Dealers Association Career Fair at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. Students met representatives from the automotive industry and got an up close look at the latest vehicles on the market.

We had a group of junior high CTE students tour Komatsu yesterday! These pirates enjoyed touring the manufacturing facility and learning more about the industry.

8th graders in Ms. Cook's science classes completed career interest surveys today and started researching careers that interest them. This is in preparation for 9th grade class registration that will take place in late January! #ThisisPineTreeCTE

Today some of our Engineering and Construction students from Pine Tree High School spoke to PTJH students to share their experience in the high school CTE classes. Over the next two weeks the junior high students will hear student representatives from each CTE program at PTHS!

🏴‍☠️ #ThisIsPineTreeCTE 🏴‍☠️ Our kinesiology, culinary arts, and A/V students pour their hearts into every moment at Pirate Stadium when our Pirates play at home. Each game is a new opportunity for students to pursue their passion, hone their skills, and support the team!

Our advanced graphic design students are working on projects for class and for the CTE department this week. Students are trained on a variety of Adobe software programs, such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. #PineTreeCTE

We are extremely proud of Caity Rutledge, Pine Tree High School Graphic Design Teacher, for being named the Region 7 CTE Master Teacher for Graphic Design and Animation! Ms. Rutledge is a dedicated leader at PTHS is always eager to support others. Congratulations, Ms. Rutledge!

Our PTHS Engineering students have been using CAD software to design a rocket prototype in class! The students also completed a project on hot air balloons. There's always a chance to design something new in the Engineering program! #PineTreeCTE

Pine Tree Health Science students toured LeTourneau University's new School of Nursing labs today. Students participated in a tour with several opportunities for some hands-on practice on training equipment. The future is bright for these aspiring healthcare professionals!
