Halo Infinite confirmed to have 30 hz tick rate and 60 hz tick rate. We should be playing on 120 hz tick rate for tournaments. Would alleviate so many bullet registration problems online. Faceit does this with other games.

Qualified for my first Worlds with the boys!
Even though we finished top 12, the way we played and the teams we beat/pushed to the limit feels like we truly earned that spot.
Our ceiling is so high I’m excited and can’t wait to see it. Love my team and LVT ❤️

Reading replies to Spartan’s tweet is tough. Casual players mad at Competitive players when they should be mad at 343 for not separating the sandbox/updates from both parties.
Casual and Competitive both need each other happy to have a successful Halo game. Let’s all do better.

343 should keep challenges for their events, but make the battlepass xp based (with xp bonus challenges) and have an overall xp level with military ranks/some other ranks, Halo Reach style. Higher lifetime ranks get cool rewards.

It has now been 1 year since I started competing in Halo. To think I could finish 9th-12th in the biggest Halo tournament ever, in such a short amount of time is crazy to me.

The Xbox dev kits we use on Lan have 40 GB of GPU memory (a 3090 GPU has 24 GB). Stop headcasing over your Series X at home with like 10 GB. The game runs much better on Lan.

My pool got 1st, t6, t8, but apparently HCS thinks we don’t deserve the opportunity for bracket play. Zero competitive integrity.

What 343 doesn’t tell you is the flying cheats and super fast shooting cheats aren’t anti cheat related. They are only possible because they switched network models.
Another reason they need to go back to the other network model. The game is unplayable now.

The sandbox team did a great job making all the weapons fun and unique in Infinite, but competitive needs to have half of them removed.
HCS/MLG has historically found the most success with a small weapon pool, and deviating from that has been a poor decision so far.

It appears that MS is making 343 the multiplayer and live service people for Halo now. Any new single player campaigns will probably be outsourced to another Dev team.
I think this will be healthy for 343 and Halo long term. Of course layoffs are terrible though 😔

The biggest thing I’ve noticed is the smoothness of the new networking, even with 30hz btb servers.
The flag juggles almost like on Lan now. Definitely an improvement, need a 4v4 test to really see how the 60hz servers perform
