Two updates in one day! Pico AI Server 1.2.11 with support for OpenAI GPT-oss was released earlier today. 1.2.12 was released just now with Jan v1 support for tool calling.

OpenAI updated the response format with a format they call Harmony. I'm still figuring out how to best support Harmony in Pico AI Server. You'll see some tags like "<|channel|>analysis. ". You can ignore those tags for now.

Once that's done, I will need to submit the new version of Pico AI Server to the App Store. Apple's review usually takes 1-2 days (that's a bit slower than usual, probably due to vacation). Expect GPT-OSS to be available on Pico in the next few days.

. merged into the Apple repo later today. Once that's done, the community will need to port the Python code to Swift. I don't see any PRs yet but expect people have already started working on that. Hopefully we'll see the port today or tomorrow.

Pico AI Server is build on Apple's AI library MLX-Swift. There currently is no MLX implementation of GPT-OSS. The kind people at @lmstudio just opened a pull request for MLX Python. There are some tiny fixes needed but I assume it will be.
