Gotta love trying to pull together a birthday party at the last minute. I hope friends will be able to come with such short notice. The party is Saturday. Summer birthdays are hard enough to plan for.

Apparently, I am not "traditional enough" anymore because I've "changed.". Good. If "changing" means being more empathetic towards others outside of my family sphere, then yes, I have changed for the better. And I am working to teach that empathy to my daughters.

Frickity frick! I didn't get enough lace for the hem because it didn't give directions for the lacy version. Seeing if I can make it work and won't have to get more lace AND another tye-dye kit.

I hate how I can be doing so well for a long while, then get chemically hijacked by my hormones. I can't find a way to stop this. Exercise sometimes works? Food sometimes works? Then there are times I want to drive off the bridge at the drop of a hat. Why?! Stop that, body!.

I love when a character is talking. It's frustrating when the character nudges but won't talk, though. All the creativity is wanting attention this week. I don't have enough hours in the day!.

Trying to be in the "enjoy it while it's on your mind" mentality. I watched a Bernadette Banner video where she was talking about using the craft item when it sparks the creativity (usually when you buy it) because if you save it for later, you may be a different person then.

Did tie-dye with the family on Saturday. It is rinse and wash day. Which means my hands will come out looking almost as bad as when my glove had an undetected hole on Saturday, and it looked like I had smurfed a Smurf.

Update: I have patterns, I have an idea on how I want it to look, I will be watching for sales on fabric, cleaning off the sewing machine table, and researching tie-dye techniques.
