This @deftones #PrivateMusic is a greatest hits album completely made up of new material. Incredible return to form in the similar vein of Diamond Eyes and Koi No Yokan. Far better than expected, seriously.

Recent pickups. All from used places and thrifting. Traded in a lot of DVD TV seasons I don't need after upgrading to BluRay. I used about 2/3rds of it on Ransom. Got Star Crystal for $30. I've always wanted to watch it but OOP. Got 3 of these free (Beauty, Spiderman, Bedazzled).

The Sandlot 1993. Good: Excellent kids baseball movie for the whole family. Relatable to kids who grew up outside. Great personalities. Benny is legendary. Ending is very touching and satisfying. Feel good film. Bad: Narrator is unnecessary. 3.5 🥨. #SingleServingMovieReviews.

First got to watch Remember the Titans in school and it has always been my favorite sports movie. One of my top 5 movie soundtracks of all time. Shown by one of my favorite teachers ever. She truly cared about education and was a legitimately gorgeous person on all levels.

I agree with Silvia Plath here. Criterion is now detrimental to the actual film community. It's now a cliche closet where cultists take all their cues and opinions from. It's just a status brand. The movies are now irrelevant. Oprah's Book Club of film.
criterion collection used to devote their work to renewing old films and curating the works of international auteurs with intelligent and personal essays and now they just release whatever movie gets talked about for 3 days on twitter and do letterboxd level “journalism”.
