My mentor teacher in Indiana once told me - "Colby, there is no rule against praying for your Ss every morning." I do a lot of things in my life wrong, but this something I am proud of & challenge you to do.

π₯Taekwondoπ₯ Attention Elementary #PhysEd Teachers! Check in with your local Martial Arts studios. You will be surprised how many instructors would love to volunteer their time to visit your school and introduce their Martial Art craft to your students. Give it a try!

Students that complete all the laps per quarter in 3rd - 6th grade get their names posted for the year in the gym for each quarterly run. Those who do not take a break ALL year make the "Grinders Club". A poster that stays up for years to come.

Field Day -- I do TEAM RIBBONS where classes compete against each other for a whole class 1st, 2nd, 3rd place ribbons through events like Tug of War, etc. Fitness Run applies to that overall point total! Just another layer to add in if you want. #PhysEd

Average runs for all students increased IMMENSELY from the Pacer Test for ALL Students. I would highly recommend this variation of Fitness "Testing" over the Pacer Test if you are wanting to get more running out of your students

Using these visual warnings from Soccer is a great way to quickly/calmly address behaviors. Often a Yellow will end any further behaviors for the class. Give it a try!

Yellow Card π¨is shown to student: - Warning! You can continue to play, but please correct your behavior/actions - Student and Peers are made aware of the Ss warning - Few minutes after the card, often I revisit with the student how they EARNED the warning.

Classroom Management Tip for Elementary #PhysEd Teachers: Using YELLOW and RED Soccer cards to give students visual warnings if behaviors cross lines. This is a great way to quickly and calmly remind a student to adjust their actions in class.

Donβt have enough low nets in your gym? Use gym mats as a quick solution for extra courts, practice, etcβ¦ I saw this idea from @PhysEdOPE and itβs great! I have done something similar but this alternative was fast and effective! Thank you! and Have Fun! #PhysEd #AdaptedPE
