Took a train down to the Kippenberg group with some colleagues to see how they generate frequency combs from microrings. Started to wonder if the secret to publishing Nature papers is being surrounded by a lot of nice and highly distracting nature? @PhotonicsUGent #EPFL

The plans for the next six months are exciting: the integration process for the single components is being optimized while we are already preparing to realize the first quantum circuits combining sources and detectors or sources and switches. The project is funded by @QuantERA_EU

It was a very productive few days consisting of presentations on the results so far, deep discussions on how to proceed and strengthening the collaboration by enjoying the food and culture of the city of Heidelberg together.

Last week, the uTP4Q project ( https://t.co/2LN2HN4Qzp) had its 5th general meeting at @HeidelbergU. The aim is to develop a unified #quantum #photonic integrated circuits platform by using Micro-Transfer Printing to integrate components such as single photon sources & detectors.
