As it turns out, the show is just good. Like other shows, it has flaws. Who'da thunk?? But yeah, the show is just good. That's why it has fans dressing as its characters, singing its songs, visiting conventions in droves for its panels. The show is just pretty good.

the obsession people have with lucifer being evil is an example of how criticism gets mixed with personal preference. lucifer has never, at any point, been presented as pure evil. not even in the pilot. if you want evil, satan is right there. they’re two separate characters.
