Our fantastic Phoenix Year 9s got future-ready last week with an exciting Employability Workshop organised by @DWPgovuk 💼🧑‍💻 From communication to collaboration, creativity to critical thinking, these young changemakers are building the skills they'll need for the future!👏

Our brilliant students took on the Proto-Maker Challenge with @imperialcollege! 🎓⚙️ They tackled real-world issues like climate change and gender equity, using 3D printers, laser cutters and more to prototype solutions. 💡 We're so proud of these future STEM leaders! 👏

Our Green Ambassadors recently explored Wormholt Park’s Tiny Forest 🌳 – checking soil density, spotting invertebrates 🐛, measuring tree growth, and even joining a community litter pick! Small actions, big impact. We're so proud of our young leaders! 🌍✨

🌟 What an incredible display of talent at yesterday's Maths Olympiad! 🌟 Our young mathematicians tackled tough questions in front of their peers, showing confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills! 🧠 We’re so proud of everyone and can’t wait for the next Olympiad! 👏

🏆📚 Last week, our amazing Phoenix students took on the National Reading Champions Competition with the National Literacy Trust! They showcased their literary skills and even found time to play some (only slightly competitive!) games of chess! ♟️✨ Well done team!👏🎉

Did you know?🤔 Robert Hooke formulated Hooke's Law, which states that the extension of a spring is proportional to the force applied. This week, our Y7 students tested it, exploring the link between force and extension. We love seeing our young physicists in action! 🔬

🌱 Since November, our future changemakers have been growing their eco-knowledge at weekly Green Ambassador Club meetings. On a recent visit to Phoenix Farm, they planted kale & learned about local produce, food waste, & green careers! ♻️ Well done to these young leaders!

Our Year 8 boys' football team faced West London Free School with one goal: rewrite last year’s story. 💪🔥 After dominating the first half, a brilliant second-half secured a 1-0 win! 🙌 We are so proud of their resilience, teamwork, and aspiration!

This week, our students pedaled towards success with our spoke-tacular Bikeability program designed to build cycling skills. While mastering bike handling and boosting their confidence, these aspiring cyclists are fostering resilience, responsibility, and independence!🚴‍♂️

Our A-Level geographers had an incredible academic adventure exploring the Essex/Suffolk border! 🌾 From fieldwork in Dedham & Ipswich to coastal studies at Walton-on-the-Naze, they brought learning to life - gathering data for their Y12 NEA (20% of their A-level).
