This approach allows to analyze🔍RT plans daily and take corrective action for plans at risk🚦. Estimated workload reduction could be 7⃣0⃣% if only at risks plans are measured. Enhancement of RT plan quality with potential benefits to patient safety 👷👍.7/7.

Results ➡️Good consistency between Measure and Control steps for complexity metrics and GPR prediction. Corrective action improved expected GPR.6/7

For the Control step, the tool was implemented and results prospectively collected. Poke Yoke approach was used to chatch⛔️potential miss of plans at risk from failure. 5/7.

For the Improve step, an ML model💻was trained to predict gamma passing rate (GPR)✅ based on complexity and other plan parameters. Model trained on 5522 VMAT plans. Mean absolute error: 2.3%.Sensitivity/specificity were 0.39/0.99 for GPR (3%/1mm with 90% action limit.4/7.

Another #ESTRO2024 phiRO award shortlisted abstract was by Moritz Schneider (who asked not to share slides on SoMe). Adaptive RT requires fast dose calc⏱️so they trained an NN to learn dose deposition mechanisms (in B field!).👍performance for segments and fields compared to MC

One more #ESTRO2024 phiRO Award shortlisted abstract: "Genetically-based analysis of dose surface maps for assessing toxity post-RT: an innovative method" by Eliana Gioscio shows how to include patient genetic risk in voxel-based analysis.

Carlos E Cardenas presented their winning approach in ESTRO Auto-RTP challenge "1-Click Victory: Leading the ESTRO Auto-RTP Challenge with an Integrated Auto-Planning Pipeline" during #ESTRO2024 and got nominated for the phiRO award.

"AI informed discussion on how dose outside the PTV affects distant failure in SBRT NSCLC patients " by Denis Dudas was also nominated for the phiRO award at #ESTRO2024. The importance of confounding variables and correct stratification was demonstrated.

Another phiRO award nominee at #ESTRO2024 was "OAPT: feasibility of prompt-gamma verfication for CBCT-based adapted plan" by Stephanie Bertschi from OncoRay. For corrected or virtual CBCTs, PGI/dose range shifts were minimal (on phantoms). Results on patient data coming soon!

"MLC tracking and dose accumulation validation on the MR-linac using a real-time deformable dosimeter" by Madelon van den Dobbelsteen from UMC Utrecht was also nominated for the phiRO award #ESTRO2024! Measurements agreed well with calculation for various forms of real-time ART.
