It’s Friday the 13th. What better day to hold SJA Jeju’s first Model United Nations conference - SJAMUN. The four GEC schools on Jeju Island sending their best and brightest to find solutions to some of the world’s most pressing issues!

Rounding off a busy week @SJA_Jeju with some PD with @ggininewman and @LauraGiniNewman from @TC2thinks where the school community tweaked and fortified its learning towards deeper thinking, wonder and student inquiry.

Today was a great deal of fun here in Jeju as the GECMUN conference returned to a full in-person conference. Held at Shinhwa World, schools from all over Korea as well as Saipan and Taiwan held the first day of sessions today.

At today’s PD with @TC2thinks, with Garfield and Laura, we are getting a lot of practical resources to integrate thinking at all stages of the learning process. I’m not new to this presentation, but it’s always a great refresher on the kind of teaching I want to do. 😊

Professional development at SJA Jeju today and tomorrow. I’m obviously excited to once again have @ggininewman and @LauraGiniNewman working with our great teachers on sustained critical inquiry.

Today was a great day for the SJA Jeju Model UN program. In our first club meeting of the year, we took the first steps toward making it a student-led club. Our most experienced members are leading the newest members in fun activities to inspire the next generation.

PD training with @ggininewman and @LauraGiniNewman is underway and inspiring educators to view how critical thinking and sustained inquiry can transform learning for students.

Big day tomorrow for SJA Jeju as we have the first day of school-wide PD with @ggininewman and @LauraGiniNewman. This is a great opportunity to build a shared sense of inquiry learning while also developing community. Let’s do it!
