FACTS !!!
Don’t overreact to a scrimmage. This nugget didn’t make it into my book, but after beating Gonzaga at MSG to open the 2003-04 season Saint Joseph’s lost a secret scrimmage to Herb Magee and Philadelphia Textile. St. Joe’s did just fine that season despite the scrimmage“loss.”

Why we love sports today: This 9 year old Phillies fan got a foul ball. He had overheard a lady speaking with the ball girl about her 80 year old Mother who wanted a ball as well. The kid decided to give it to her. Opposite of Philly Karen. Amazing omen heading into Red October.
