What a superb choice for Party Chairman. Kevin “gets it”, he can connect brilliantly with people and is a great campaigner. Having worked closely with him over the last year in particular, he’s a top pick to take the Party and its machine into the next phase. Congrats!
I am honoured to have been appointed Chairman of the Conservative Party. I want to pay tribute to my predecessors, Nigel Huddleston and Lord (Dominic) Johnson, whose dedication and hard work have laid the foundations for the future. Their efforts in navigating challenging times.

It is quite concerning that the average Joe has bought into the lie that English waters are dirtier than ever. When the opposite is true. It’s the unintended consequence of good water monitoring. Why people should look at the trends vs the readings in isolation.
It's awful what the water industry has done to English waters. 🔸ammonia concentrations have reduced to about 15% of the average in 1990.🔸BOD concentrations have reduced to 55% to 60% of the average in 1990.🔸orthophosphates have reduced to 15% to 20% of averages in 1990

Love this!. I will usle it a lot.
A door blows open in your mind when you learn about the suffix -le, it explains so much. People used to add it to verbs to mean ‘more than once’ or continuously—so originally, to ramble is to ‘roam’ on, to jostle is to joust repeatedly, and to sparkle is to emit lots of sparks.

This is 100% true. The amount of times over the years I’ve been asked if I’m “really a Conservative” because I’m compassionate and care about things is insane. I always assume those I don’t agree with politically are good people who just think differently on how to get.
Talking to a group of pleasant, clever socialists last night, it hit me that the defining characteristic of the Left is not compassion; rather, it is the conviction that compassion is unique to their side, leading to a grotesque misunderstanding of what the other side thinks.

Really interesting and transparent update from the @xai team on the events of last week. Brings into focus how precarious LLMs are and the impacts of small updates to code. Credit to the team for such a good job identifying, fixing, understanding and improving. And being open!.

Away all week working with the great team at @HfdsCouncil, but still time to squeeze in a chat with @tomhfh and @GBNEWS about the disastrous decision by the Lib Dem-led @BCPCouncil to scrap our iconic Air Festival.

It’s rapidly becoming the last chance to have your say on the proposed new (and costly!) town councils that BCP are planning across the area.
