Incidentally, they called me to follow up on my recent registration as I listed my in laws as my "us address" not realizing I could just stick with my last address. He said what I did also works as I have a valid tie to that address.

There's a lot of "well I imagine that was her decision" and from someone who's been in a similar position and worked a lot with grad students those people are vastly overestimating the agency grad students, esp minoritized ones, have. Especially at a school like Rutgers. I

As someone who had to adjunct at multiple schools for 5 years, cobbling tiny paychecks together, before I was deemed worthy of full time position interviews- I don't want that for anyone else. Admin, If you have adjuncts and a full time position opens up- don't be a butt.
