Watching Christmas Are You Being Served? now, the Punch and Judy one. Trevor Bannister's Mr Punch impression with John Inman cracking up at it for real is one of my favourite Christmas sitcom moments, "Ooh, I'm going to steal the sausages ".

My annual telling of in 1993 I'd bought the Christmas Radio Times and while waiting for the bus for school read that Carry Ons, Marx Bros, Police Academy & Harold Lloyd films were going to be on over Christmas, so I "accidentally" missed the bus. Couldn't go to school after that.

I remember about 20 years ago I was going to write the ultimate Christmas film. It was going to be a really feel good movie and would reference every Christmas film, song, sitcom episode and food in it. But then I didn't bother.

Watching a Christmas Steptoe and Son, this is their final ever episode. Cracking stuff. No matter how many times I watch it though I find it hard to believe that Harry H Corbett died before Wilfred Brambell in real life.

Watching a Last of the Summer Wine Christmas special, think it's their first one. Never been a big fan of this, but I enjoy the Christmas specials and Foggy, Compo and Clegg (played by 60s film greats Brian Wilde, Bill Owen and Peter Sallis) are an excellent triple act.

As I've so much to watch on the run up to Christmas my Christmas watchings start now. First up watching a festive Two Ronnie's. Then To The Manor Born Christmas special.

My annual telling of my favourite ever Halloween. It was back in 1992, it was a Saturday night, I'd been trick or treating with my brother and sister. Came back stocked with sweets, had Hot Dogs and Chips and Watched Ghostwatch with Mum and Dad. Afterwards I think The Fog was on.

Watching Blondie Has Servant Trouble. Blondie, Dagwood, Baby Dumpling and the gang stay in a haunted house. Great little comedy/horror this. Very reminiscent of the early Abbott and Costello Monster mashup films. Bloooondie.

Morning Boos and Ghouls, Happy Halloween. Enjoy whatever is on your horror watch list today. For me it'll be the original Halloween, Ghostwatch, Blondie Has Servant Trouble and Psychoville Halloween. And if I've time throw in a Halloween Simpsons or two.
