Meta-analytic evidence finds.interventions in altering personality traits successfully promoted change. A review of nonintervention studies finds having a goal to change personality is weakly related to success. @PeterHaehner @aj_wright19 @WiebkeBleidorn .

Coordinated data analyis: 8 panels, N = 90,934. ▶️ We examined psychological, demographic, event-related, and contextual moderators across panels.▶️ We identified several robust moderators of event-related personality changes.▶️ However, most effects were trait & event-specific.

Systematic review: 23 studies, N = 82,374. ▶️ Only age and gender have been frequently considered as moderators of event-related personality change.▶️ All other moderators only examined in one study -> replicability unclear.

Across five studies (one systematic review and four empirical studies), we developed a dimensional taxonomy of the perceived characteristics of daily events and validated an economic questionaire to assess them - ideally suited for experience sampling and daily diary research.

You like the ECQ? You love the DIAMONDS? But you always had the feeling that a comparable taxonomy was missing to assess the perception of daily events?. We have something for you: Check out our preprint on perceived characteristics of daily events:.

More specifc requirements:.- Assessment of the occurence of daily hassles (at least 1x per day) as "objective" as possible, i.e., that can be separated from hassle perception.- Assessment of momentary personal characteristics 1x per day (e.g., Big five states, state affect, . ).

+++ ESM researchers +++. I am planning a coordinated data analysis on stress generation in daily life across experience sampling studies that examined the occurence of daily hassles. Do you have any datasets that you could share for such an analysis? 🙆‍♂️
