Another year comes around and Alice's inspiring life story at the Edfringe is reaching out to a fresh and enthusiastic audience!

As a state pensioner, I never agreed with receiving the winter fuel allowance whether I needed it or not and gave the payment to my local food bank. State funds should go to those in genuine need and not just to buy votes. I will still make my donation to the food bank each year.

So my 20th and final school visit of the academic year, speaking of suffragette great granny Alice's fight for 'the vote' will be July 4th! Booked many months ago, I should have placed a bet on it being election day!

Since centenary year 2018, and with the great support of English Heritage, I have recently completed 100 voluntary school visits to Leicester and county schools. Telling the inspirational story of suffragette great granny Alice. So, use your vote!

Well, me and Ruth will be returning to the Edinburgh Fringe once again this August with our spoken word show Alice Hawkins - Working Class Suffragette'. Tickets on sale now!

After many years of speaking proudly of great granny Alice, next Monday evening is the big one. The New Congress Theatre, Eastbourne, largest theatre on the south coast. Ruth and I will be reprising our Edfringe show. Audience around 1,300!

Pleased to be visiting Castle Mead Academy once again today, telling the Yr9 scholars the inspiring life story of great granny Alice. As we approach IWD, what better timing.

Pleased to say that my Edinburgh show this August, 'Alice Hawkins - Working Class Suffragette' has now gone live on the Fringe website, with the first ticket sold! Can't wait for Ruth and I tell the inspiring life story of great granny Alice once again.

Am a speaker this evening at a local history society this and have just met Stanley Unwins daughter. Her command of Unwinese is very impressive!!!

I joined Peter Barratt & sisters to receive his Honoured Citizen Award from Lord Mayor Cllr Susan Barton at the Town Hall today. Peter’s work promoting his great grandmother Alice Hawkins, & her role within the suffragette movement, has inspired, entertained and educated many👏

Well, today finished on a high, speaking to English Martyrs, Year 8's about Alice and her fight for equality. My 22nd school visit for the calendar year and hopefully more to come!

For the next two years, the Leicester market place has relocated next to the statue of great granny Alice Hawkins. A lady on the fruit and veg just pointed to her and said, 'that's are Alice'. Brilliant. Spot on.
