Typing on a #PerkinsBrailler takes more than just knowing which keys are whichโit also takes finger strength! For students with limited mobility, teachers use hand exercises and smart adaptations, like key extenders, to help students master every key. #MyPerkinsBrailler

Students spent the weekend building robotic claws, coding moving machines, molding silicone keychains, and more, with plenty of help from the amazing GearTicks team and our own Outreach crew. Explore our other program offerings at https://t.co/nlNBj5CKx5

Well, @OpenAI just banned @ChatGPT from giving medical advice. @Doctronic is built different: peer-reviewed clinical validation, a network of licensed physicians across all 50 states, and partnerships that let us keep expanding. We're not pulling back. We're moving forward.

As an educator, Tasha recognized an unmet need for #Accessible information for her students. Now, she uses her #PerkinsBrailler to make custom #Braille and modified print materials for people who are #Blind or have #PrintDisabilities. Share your story: https://t.co/QmKkoJwo8o

A #PerkinsBrailler can create #TactilePictures that can be enjoyed by all people, #Blind, #LowVision, or sighted. This jack-o-lantern from our @PerkinsLibrary director is the perfect way to get into the #Halloween spirit and teach students the fundamentals of the #Brailler! ๐

A great day at the State House celebrating #WhiteCane Awareness with @MassBlind. ๐ ๐ฆฏThe best part: seeing Perkins' Outreach student Aubrey honored with the Meg Robertson Mobility Award. Congrats to Aubrey and Lauren Coen, a #TVI who has worked with her since 5th grade!

#WhiteCanes are used by sweeping side to side on the ground so the tips eventually wear down and need to be replaced. To help students anticipate when a tip needs changing, Perkins O&M Caroline created a tool so students have a tangible representation of the different stages.
