On our accessible #Playground, the #Xylophone is not only a functional musical instrument and bench, but each key also has an affirmation in #Braille so our students can engage in both auditory and tactile ways. 🎶

Embossed #TactileGraphics from the early 1900s by French educator Martin Kunz turned nature into something #Blind students could feel. He hand-carved molds and pressed paper to create raised illustrations with braille descriptions. Our Perkins Archives hold dozens!

We had the best day hosting players from the @NHLBruins Development Camp for a #Goalball game, Orientation & Mobility training, and campus tour with our Outreach program students. Thank you to the Bruins for their commitment to #AccessibilityForAll and #AdaptiveSports 💙🤝

From Boston to the #Philippines! 🇵🇭 Joyce had an amazing time at Perkins, learning side by side with students like Cam and getting classroom experience. Now that she's back home, she’s using these new strategies in her community and sharing her knowledge with fellow educators.

Behind every early diagnosis is a family looking for support, answers and community. Thanks to a generous #CummingsGrant from @CummingsDotCom, we can continue our critical work by supporting even more children with disabilities through our Infant-Toddler Program and CVI Center.

James’ favorite classes at Perkins are music, OT, & card making. In his free time he loves swimming, car rides, & listening to music. ”I will miss my teachers, cottage staff, cottage friends and classroom friends at Perkins, thank you for everything,” says James.💙 #PerkinsGrads

Everett’s favorite thing about Perkins is the bell tower that tops our Howe building as it chimes on the hour and hosts our mascot, the Towerhawk! His favorite classes are Health and ELA and he enjoys audio and braille books, video games, & audio described movies.💙 #PerkinsGrads
