As a biostatistician I have always developed new statistical methods to analyze existing data from collaborators or the public domain. This is the first project where I secured the funding and decided experiment design to generate the DNA methylation and RNAseq data I wanted.

This first integrative EWAS of pancreatic cancer integrated DNA methylation, RNA sequencing and DNA variation data, leveraged public controls from the Framingham Heart Study, and identified non-coding RNA nc886 as a novel susceptibility methylation locus for pancreatic cancer.
