The Edison Panthers clinch the sectional title on Saturday and with a record of 16-0 advance to the IESA class 3A Elite 8 State Tournament. They will play Lemont Old Quarry at 12:30 on September 28 at Eastside in East Peoria. Congratulations - Good Luck!
Washington Intermediate School
Captain Reeise visited with Mrs. Lingle's students about fire safety, what being a firefighter entails, and following your dreams.
Angie Swearingian of Yoga Learning Adventures provided training for special education teachers on yoga and mindfulness. Students learned about regulating their emotions through breathing, movement, and relaxation!

As the severe weather has expired, we will begin dismissing students at the intermediate and junior high levels. Please be aware that some buses will be running later than usual.
We hope you enjoyed the Marigold Festival this weekend. The Pekin Junior High Band had a blast playing the tune Slow Ride for the parade audiences.

Wilson Intermediate School - Mayor McCabe visited Mrs. Bitner's and Miss Fela's class to talk about democracy, voting, campaigns, and his role as Mayor and citizen of Pekin.
Due to the severe weather alerts in our area, all District 108 students are sheltering in place, as per our storm procedures. They will remain sheltered until the all clear is given in our area.
Due to the extreme cold temperature and wind chill forecasted into tomorrow morning, all District 108 Schools will be closed on Thursday, January 31. Stay Safe and Warm! We look forward to seeing everyone on Friday.

Students painted encouraging messages on rocks and hid them at the park with the hope of spreading positive messages throughout the community.
Special Education Staff
All special education administrators, teachers, psychologists, social workers, speech pathologists, OT’s, and PT’s were trained on a new IEP management system.

Jefferson Primary School - Jefferson 3rd grade students succeeded in persuading Mr. Arnsman to buy them all ice cream for an ice cream sundae party. He had to find a way to keep the ice cream cold today. He had to buy so much that it wouldn’t all fit in the freezer!
Parent Teacher Conferences are Monday, November 19th in the evening and Tuesday, November 20th in the afternoon and evening. No school the rest of the week - Thanksgiving on Thursday.
