Now rewatching what might be the greatest film about Hollywood and filmmaking ever made. Bowfinger. The Player, The Bad & Beautiful, Day for Night, Living in Oblivion, etc. are all great, but this is the one that I feel fully encapsulates what it feels like to make a movie.

Now listening to-.The Everly Brothers - Songs Our Daddy Taught Us. An amazing all covers album. These are very old traditional songs that are worked over so beautifully by the brothers. I think it's their best work they've ever done.

Now rewatching All That Jazz. A movie that wants to be Fellini's 8 1/2 so bad that it actually succeeds and in many ways surpasses it. This movie is amazing. A real product of its time. It totally feels like a 1979 film, but yet it's not dated at the same time.

Till I Die- The Beach Boys.Contender for the most beautiful but saddest song of all time. It really might be the ultimate Brian Wilson song. It really captures the soul of what made Brian, Brian.

Now rewatching Popeye by Robert Altman. One of the biggest coke-fueled movies of all time and it feels it. I basically adore it. I love the whole weirdness of it all. I also think the songs, by Harry Nilsson, are top notch. I know the soundtrack pretty well.
