Overall: fun, creepy, fast-paced horror shooter with solid visuals and surprising variety. Perfect spooky season game and honestly a great showpiece for PSVR2’s immersive features. I totally recommend it. 💯. 🧵(7/7).

It’s not super deep, but it’s more than you’d expect. A mix of horror, arcade shooter, and theme park ride—Switchback knows exactly what it is and leans into it. Gameplay loop is addictive and it feels polished. 🎢🔫. 🧵(6/7).

Enemy design is surprisingly solid. There’s a good mix of jump scares, scripted tension, and full chaos moments. You will scream, or at least flinch. Bonus points for a few very clever uses of PSVR2 eye tracking 👁️. 🧵(5/7.

And these tracks? They look really good! High production value across the board—environment art, animations, sound design. Even the scoreboards after each ride are a nice touch, showing what secrets or paths you found (or missed). 🧵(4/7).

Each track is inspired by one of the Dark Pictures stories—zombies on a cursed ship, green ghouls in a pyramid, haunted dolls… and each one has its own creepy theme. Every level tells a mini story, not just a shooting gallery. 👻🏺. 🧵(3/7).

Shooting feels good, cart speed feels fast, and the gameplay’s simple but satisfying. There’s a variety of weapons and enemies, even creepy bosses! It’s all mixed up with little puzzles and choices that shape your run. 🎯. 🧵(2/7).

21. Pixel Ripped 95 & 78.Nostalgia trip with unique gameplay mix. When it works, it REALLY works. A love letter to old-school gamers. 22. Jurassic World Aftermath.Sneaky dino VR. Visual style is hit or miss but hiding from a raptor in VR is always cool. Love Blue!.🧵(12/x).

19. Journey to Foundation.Narrative sci-fi adventure. Feels like a low-budget Mass Effect with cool choices. Loved the worldbuilding. Wish it was longer. 20. Max Mustard.Best platformer on PSVR2. Colorful, smooth, creative levels, and super fun. Where is #ASTROBOT !?.🧵(11/x).

17. Underdogs.Underground mech boxing? YES please. 18. Arizona Sunshine Remake & 2.Goofy zombie co-op shooter with solid gunplay. Nothing groundbreaking but really enjoyable. I wish Vertigo Games start using DFR on #PSVR2.🧵(10/x).

15. Metro Awakening.Sound design and visuals are strong. Could be more sharp and use more of pure blacks (strong mura). 16. Hubris.Super clean sci-fi shooter. Generic story, but top-tier visuals and good combat flow. Smooth experience. 🧵(9/x).

13. Vertigo 2.Classic-style FPS with tons of charm, weirdness, and variety. Not the sharpest visuals, but crazy fun. 14. Alien Rogue Incursion.Tense and terrifying. Xenos everywhere. You’ll sweat. It’s no Isolation, but it gets the job done. 🧵(8/x).

11. Horizon Call of the Mountain.Climbing adventure with epic setpieces. Linear, but beautiful and intense. I want full VR Horizon ports now!.12. Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge EE.Star Wars Baby!. Shooting, exploring, some lightsabers. Well made and fun. 🧵(7/x).

9. Red Matter 1 & 2.Visual showcase for PSVR2. Cold, creepy, beautiful. Sci-fi puzzle adventure with crazy fidelity. 10. TWD: Saints & Sinners Ch1&2.Solid survival experience. Physics-based combat, crafting, freedom. Melee is so satisfying. 🧵(6/x).
