@PatrickKidger hey Patrick! I'm agreeing with a lot of your words having been in a similar position, but lines like the one below are pretty big red flags for mental health. Many I know (me included) struggle with tying self worth to productivity, so I would avoid giving this advice to people.

@PatrickKidger "My personal schedule was usually to work midday-midnight 7 days a week" -- if you work that much on your PhD, it's impossible not to finish it IMHO

@PatrickKidger Hey, really agree with you and I'm in a similar situation! Didn't imagine by the quality of your work that it was mostly self-directed. Certainly this adds a layer of difficulty but it is doable.
