Coastal Transitions III; day 3 started with a session of papers focused on the emerging off-shore wind industry in the Northeastern US and focused on issues of community acceptance, energy justice and spatial conflict. A common thread seems to be uncertainty among stakeholders.

Our notions of labour-saving technology are often limited to machines, but social policy can be just as powerful. Universal childcare and community kitchens are simple interventions that would *dramatically* reduce labour time, with emancipatory effects for millions of people.
