You don't need more features. You need to do some marketing. Here are the top 10 paywall-triggering features in Afterplay. Not one of them was added in the last year. Shipping new features is fun, but it’s not what increases revenue

Afterplay’s analytics are now public. Take a look, we could use all the help we can get. The data is only a few days old, but let me know if there’s anything you think is missing or would like to see. https://t.co/JmeLWfbB40

Betting on this as a way to grow the user base. When Afterplay launched, there were no good ways to play retro games on iPhone. No emulators in the App Store. Sideloading was the only option. Afterplay worked in the browser, used real emulators compiled to WASM. It was awesome.

Before running the actual reengagement campaign I need to define what success looks like. Clicks and views are fine but they’re not great indicators of real engagement. Here’s the plan: • Unengaged = hasn’t opened a game in the past 2 weeks • Engaged = has opened a game in

Re-engagement campaign test results and learnings I selected @brevo_official as the email marketing tool. Their pricing aligns well with freemium products: no cost on contacts, and you only pay per email sent. Most other platforms get very expensive once you pass around 10K

I want to run a re-engagement campaign for @afterplayio Over 200,000 people have signed up over the last 4 years (mostly free users). What tools do you recommend? Any tips or lessons learned?

We used @todesktop to take care of building, signing, and distributing our Electron app. Super smooth experience and saved us so much time. Highly recommend if you're shipping an Electron app.

When I started building Afterplay, I never imagined someone would use it to play Mega Man on the rear display of their Tesla
