True. The royalties are below industry standard but the high cover price means it's better than when they were doing the cheap editions. Slaine and Nemesis still sell very well. But it means other characters tend not to be collected anymore

@PatMillsComics I'm genuinely surprised to learn that you *get* royalties, given everything I've heard about the comics world.

Thanks to fans who bought definitive/de luxe editions of Nemesis and Slaine which continue to sell really well. They make for better royalties, due to their high cost.

Thanks. It's prompted me to watch Tommy again. Another example of turning lead into gold

@PatMillsComics Like Pete Townshend writing Tommy & then 30 years later realising it was based on his own experiences.

@PatMillsComics @GetMyComics 1. Although there aren't any dolmens in sight, ancient Gades is where I've read the definitive version. It's a truly great book Pat. An essential accompaniment to understanding the ethos, nuts and bolts and all, of how Slaine over the decades was put together.

@PatMillsComics Finally found an isolated spot to read this straight through. Really interesting, particularly after having read your other books and #Storyteller so far. Plus the logic behind #Spacewarp is even more apparent now. Great stuff 👏

The elite maintain their wealth by comfortably sitting back and creating a narrative to make ordinary people hate the poor.

The richest 50 families in the UK hold more wealth than 50% of the British population, but the entire political establishment wants you to believe sick and disabled people are gaming the system. We need to tax the rich and end this grotesque inequality. https://t.co/uQk7Mghtxu

You've probably got Dennis Wheatley in your collections, unless he was a little early (1960s). His black magic novels were required reading for us as kids. Crowley, Baring-Gould were his https://t.co/PakjApyjFS bishop was my primary inspiration for Torquemada.

Just realised Torquemada was also inspired by my abusive Bishop who reeked of Catholic arrogance which other sources didn't. He also smelt vile like Torque. He ranted a Catholic Theology of Darkness & Pain, like Mother Theresa. Damn! And I thought Torque was all my imagination!

Wel well well, tell me something new. It's not always like this with big 2 publishers, @PatMillsComics @Opipop? 👇🏻 And the sad stuff is she really create something unique from a widely known IP; it's like The Cure cover for Purple Haze or Sisters of Mercy cover for Gimme Shelter

@PatMillsComics I guess we 🇧🇷😎🤘🏻 are the country with most Réquiemverse volumes in hardcover released outside France. We already have volumes 1-11 on hardcover & same size of French ones albeit we release (2 or 3 volumes per edition). Claudia will probably be 2 in 1 here 🇧🇷 too.
