E-38 was driving past Vallarta Market and heard the fire alarm and patrons evacuating. The crew rushed in and extinguished a fire in the kitchen. They prevented extension into the attic. The market is closed pending a Health Dept. inspection which is protocal. @PasadenaGov

Today, PFD responded to a working attic fire in a 2-story residence on north Los Robles Ave. The fire was confined to the attic. Salvage operations were conducted early to minimize damage to property. Cause is under investigation. @PasadenaGov
