Due to stepping back from the internet for a while, my manuscript and query critique schedule is wide open from August through the rest of the year.

Losing the most important person in your life doesn't get any easier with time. Life goes on all around you and you pretend to go back to normal and no one sees that you're empty on the inside.

Tory is fantastic. Very sharp, very attuned to what an author is trying to achieve, and very creative about marrying solid manuscripts with clever pitches.

too seriously. It insists upon itself. Writers, don't do what this show is doing. A story needs patience, trust in its audience, and heart. Not a disparate sequence of cinematic moments. Hard pass.

I've only seen five episodes of House of the Dragon. So far it sucks. It's a soap opera compared to the first four seasons of GOT. Everybody whispers dramatically at all times. They spoon feed any "subtlety" like we're children. The characters are hollow husks. It takes itself
