Absolutely thrilled that our 16/17 year olds can now vote 🥳. For all those getting their knickers in a twist. At 16 you get your national insurance card and so can contribute to the tax system. Therefore you are entitled to have a say on who spends that and how. Its that simple.
16 and 17-year-olds will be able to vote at next UK general election under plans to lower voting age
