Practice inside school today. Meet at the cafeteria at 3:20, not 3:30. We will work out, so be dressed with the right clothes and shoes. See you then!.

Track practice starts tomorrow. 3:30 at JFK. Come dressed and ready to work out. Bring a water bottle. You must have a physical to work out, but we want everyone there to start our season together. If you are still playing basketball we will see you after your season is done.

And here is the best part. We had the best state trip! Kids came together. Laughed a lot! Told great stories! Given the option to leave, everyone stayed to support each other. These were 6 days I will never forget. Thank you all for a great run. Love you all “Family.”.

And finally, Lilah Genel. What can you say? Qualifies in the 16 and 32 because she committed to a plan and executed it perfectly. She finished 8th and 4th at State. Many people told me how much they love to watch her run. I wish they knew her better as a person. She is awesome.

Connor Ayres ran an unbelievable 3200 at Sectional breaking his own school record at 9:28. Calm and in control he knew what he needed to get done to return to state this year. He finished 14th. SEMO is getting a great athlete and a better human.

This girls 4x1 team is one for the ages. They dealt with injury and changes through the season. The goal: get to State. Amazing sectional race and they did it! They had clean and aggressive handoffs and finished 14th. We will miss you Rose and Jourdyn!

Chris Anderson qualified in the 200 with a PR of 23.02. He looked strong throughout the race but he had another gear in the 2nd half to qualify. He ran a great prelim race but ran against the fastest 200 field I have seen in our class. He finished 14th. Next year will be epic!

Erykah Lee qualified in the 100 and 200 with PRs and Top 10 performances in both events. She ran in to STACKED fields in both events running in to the wind. She is a fighter and finished 15th in the 100 and 14th in the 200. So much potential for the future!
