4. The return to school. With hindsight, 1/3 of parents said that summer 2021 was better than they had expected it to be. When the kids returned to school 7/10 parents took a start of year photo & 1/4 posted the pic to social media

3. Holidays! Around 8/10 families took a holiday over the summer (mostly in the UK). 1/10 parents reported that their child went on a different holiday to them, and 1/4 single parents rpt their child had a different holiday (maybe with another parent?)

2. What were the adults doing? Many parents (83% of mums & 78% of dads) spent at least some of the school hols supervising their kids. Those with younger kids also faced considerable childcare costs, especially in London

1. What were the kids doing? They were busy! Every week, around 2/3 read a book, 1/2 drew a picture and 1/5 wrote a page of text. There were lots of outings (especially free ones) but also lots of screen time
