That what the Avalanche thought in 2017 when they were the worst team in the NHL by 21 pts to the second worst team and fell to the 4th overall pick. They drafted Makar at 4. How’d that work out.

Not really a hot take here but Rocky Thompson's job has to be hanging by a thread here. Strange personnel decisions on the power play all season long and no sustained success at any time over nearly three full seasons.
