The team comprises of (now) nine individuals and the budgeted request is <170k USD for service of one year. This moderation team bounty is one of the ecosystem's longest active bounties. However, the team's voluntary contributions existed years prior.

Resubmission in mind, it is unlikely that we'll see balanced voting on the topic. For this referendum they've used 2x conviction but they may likely use 4 or 6x with resubmissions which is near the total votes of all participants.

Unfortunately it is a Nay for innovation. The referendum was knocked out of confirmation by a 47,500 KSM whale. Interestingly enough this whale account usually delegates to ChaosDAO. This is one of those "fly on the wall moments"; I would love to know what "really happened".

If this is passed, I plan to open other Wish for Change referenda to further define the use and conditions of these locked tokens as well as other options to lock tokens with shared benefit. As most would know, my ideas are many but my free time is few. We'll get there.

It is important that the locked tokens still have some value other than staking and governance. We can, at a later date, discuss the conditions and methods of unlocking such tokens. All in theme of reducing supply shock.

With functionality to lock some staking rewards we can maintain inflation rates, or dare I say increase it while also reducing transferable supply. Those holdings locked tokens have immediate utlity as they can reuse them for staking or governance.

It is my opinion that lowering inflation on Kusama (as it was done on Polkadot) would have negative consequences to validators and nominators. Validators have the option to increase commissions to meet operational needs but in doing so they further reduce nominator rewards.
