The Emergency Department at the Ulster Hospital is under severe pressure today. Our staff are working immensely hard to ensure patients are treated as quickly as possible. If your condition isn't urgent, please consider other treatment options 👇 https://t.co/XIY7fRlyoG

I am absolutely sickened & saddened at what is going on in our City & Country tonight! My thoughts are with all emergency services 🚑🚓🚒🏥 particularly healthcare colleagues in local emergency depts who, AS ALWAYS, will be the ones to pick up the pieces! Sad sad times for NI 😔

Thank you to SE trust Audit team for raising awareness on the benefits of clinical audit. Delighted to see that The Labour Ward audit on obstetric theatre practice was used as an example how clinical audit can improve practice. @Pamelaredmond3 @KarengrayB

The 6 HSC Chief Execs waited to the very second nurses commenced their IA to ‘accuse’ them of putting patients at risk yet it’s patient safety that’s core to their reasons for IA today. The Chiefs should have never agreed to slashing nurse budgets for years & causing this crisis

Thank you to RCN members, reps and staff across all the Countries for their support for nurses in NI. NI nurse members appreciate this so much as this is a very challenging time for every nurse
Nursing staff across the UK are right behind those in Northern Ireland ahead of Tuesday. Our members always put their patients first - any suggestion otherwise only angers nursing staff even more. These disappointing tactics will not deter members from standing up for safer care.

This is not new to midiwives and obstetricians but good to keep reminding ourselves of the limitations of the CTG@setrust
Rhona Mahoney pointing out that our focus for preventing cerebral palsy should change to antenetal pre-morbidities such as inflammation and growth restriction. Intrapartum events often inappropriately blamed and monitoring cannot reverse these problems.
