It’s painful in the areas that have suffered the most muscle atrophy. My ALS symptoms started in my shoulders so that’s where it’s bad. Man in a barrel syndrome is what they call my presentation of ALS. My arms are essentially dead weight.
@PairedWith_P7 Back in the 1970's I served as a medic in the USAF. ( pilot rescue & recovery) I see your group advancing options available tp our disabled vets. Using AI with implants to intuitively control prosthetics & maybe branch into pain control. Do you experience pain? If yes how?.

@PairedWith_P7 I am a retired EE/ME from medical & military equipment. We did so much in improving the hand shake between an operator. We built custom automation, robotics and CNC machines. It feels like all of our background work that lead to custom HMI's was very intuitive. .

I do! It’s very collaborative daily research sessions with the Neuralink field engineers. They really value my feedback on how things feel or how things could be better as they obviously don’t have an N1 implant themselves. I really enjoy it, those guys are the best!.

I'm just the participant lol. I leave all the robotics and code writing to the professionals.
@PairedWith_P7 Hi Jake, in robotics we write main code for the real work and use short code elements for repetitive actions (sometimes referred to as cycles) and resets. I'm trying to understand if there were some cycles you helped create and/or created on yer own. Does this apply to you?.
