I often wonder if publishing's goal is to confuse the average person. No one knows what a chapter book is. They think it's any book with chapters. They think middle grade is for middle schoolers. They think young adult is for readers in their 20s. Can't we pick better names?.

It's also another conversation where everyone on Twitter comes out and claims they were reading Tolstoy at the age of two. 🤣.

Another discussion completely confused because some people think "chapter books" means the publishing category of short books like Junie B. Jones and some people think it means long novels with chapters like Percy Jackson.
