I took most of these contracts from transfermarkt which isn’t always accurate. Gunnerblog says Trossard’s contract actually runs to 2027 so I’d trust that.

I support this. But I do think we should start looking for a prospect in this position over the next year. Loan them out until 2027 then they can replace Norgaard in a couple of years.

Over the next year I’d be looking at Martinelli/Trossard/Jesus out and sign a left winger. Sign a prospect striker & 6. Sign another left sided defender and move MLS permanently to midfield. Merino could go. Ødegaard & Havertz will have 2 years left next summer. Decision time.

I’ve seen this used as a stick to beat us with. The selling clubs would’ve preferred to keep almost all of these players. We do a good job at keeping our best players. We used to get mocked for selling them every year.

I think it will largely depend on Calafiori’s fitness. If he’s as unreliable as last season MLS will mostly play at left back. Otherwise I think it will be LCM. He’s a much better option than Merino there when Rice is absent.
