Kayla Fericy and I recently co-founded the SHPE graduate student chapter at Duke. Since then, we have been serving as co-presidents, overseeing strategies to empower the Hispanic community to realize its fullest potential and impact the world through STEM access and support.

As part of this program, we developed workshops, career conversations and panels to empower PhD students at Duke to succeed on their career paths through acquiring skills, mastering core competencies, and exploring opportunities.

Happy to share that I served for two years as the Biomedical Engineering representative for the PhD Plus Professional Development Program at Duke.

Today, Luis Adrian Salazar, the former Minister of Science, Technology, and Telecommunications of Costa Rica, delivered an inspiring speech at Duke University on emerging technology solutions to support global development.

New Project is up in our website! A few months ago @PabloCorderoA passed his prelim exam and became a PhD candidate. In my lab, when students complete this major milestone, we celebrate their success and add their project to our lab website with a unique logo.
