Correction: The 21 and the 70+ played on the same team, but not the same partnership (Bridge teams are 6 people, three pairs). The 70+ played with a 28 year old (which is still a pretty insane gap).

People keep asking if Izzet Cauldron can survive rotation and the loss of Thrillseeker - I think it very easily can, just replace them with Draconautics Engineer (it's overall a bit worse, but can be better in grindy matchups). For a while the deck didn't even have Thrillseeker.

I promise the Cauldron advertisement is going to stop soon 😂 but someone compiled all the matches at GP Chiba and UR Cauldron had BY FAR the best winrate! It also didn't lose anything in the bans, so you really should be paying this deck some attention

Added a small chapter about what I think will be popular post-bans and how that impacts UR Cauldron. All the top decks in the format got hurt and Cauldron went completely untouched, so I definitely believe this will be a tier1 deck moving forward!.

Interesting bans, even more stuff than I expected. I dislike that lots of decks are catching strays (like, did we really need to kill BG or UG Beanstalk?) but WOTC knows what's in the next set and I don't so if they feel Std will be more fun with these bans I can get behind that

Ban predictions:. I think they'll take a heavy-handed approach - with so few opportunities to act, better safe than sorry. I expect at least 3 bans, but likely more. I'd predict these 4 (maybe Mouse over Nemesis) and maybe also Zur.
