Federal budget is a complicated challenge. However, a good starting point would be to let the Trump tax cuts to elapse saving $4.5 trillion dollars from the National Debt. Budgets are about 2 items-revenue & spending.

Here's a thought-today's world is where it is culturally cuz our value system has changed. Self-fulfillment is now the greatest good over self-denial. Think of George Bailey vs Trump (Trump could be Mr.Potter) It is now about individual self rather than self sacrifice for others.
