With careful monitoring, a slow refeeding plan, and endless patience, Jeremiah began to heal. He has now almost doubled his weight, and for the first time in a long while, he can truly be a dog - running, playing, and enjoying life the way he should.

He leaned into every touch, wagged his little tail, and seemed to know we were there to help him. His strength told us everything about who he would be: a brave, resilient boy who wouldn't let the past define him.

At just 27 pounds, he was severely emaciated - skin and bones, barely able to stand. Even our veterinary team couldn’t believe he could walk. But yet, despite everything he had endured, Jeremiah’s heart was still full.

The first glimpse of Jeremiah stopped us in our tracks. After arriving at ACCT Philly as a stray, our Animal Law Enforcement team was contacted as soon as they saw his condition.
