This afternoon officers stopped a football supporters bus on the A78 which was travelling towards a match in Greenock. A quantity of alcohol was seized from passengers. Sergeant Lyall said “Operations like this one help keep fans and the wider community safe”.

Since when has drinking been a crime. Why not try and use your resources to stop some real criminals instead of putting your pathetic ‘PC’ hats on and wasting everybody’s time.

I wonder if it would have happened to a bus full of Rugby fans, probably not. And it's clearly implied that a drunk working class football fan is a danger to the wider community. It's clear discrimination based on socio-economic backgrounds.
