I would have given Peterson the chance to have two guys get on, especially with the 8-9 hitters they had coming up. The Orioles were hoping for the change the Mets made and Stanek didn’t execute. With that said, you gotta score more than one run to win in baseball typically.

Dating back to July 11th, 2024, essentially a full calendar year, David Peterson has thrown 192.1 innings. His ERA in that span is 2.85. I’d be all over trying to work out a contract extension with Peterson if I were the Mets .

Can’t wait for this before going to Wright’s jersey retirement game. The work that @snykraus and his team do on these documentaries are unmatched.

Right-hander Nolan McLean tonight for Triple-A Syracuse:. 6 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 10 K. He threw a season high 97 pitches (62 strikes) and generated 17 swing & misses. McLean’s AAA ERA stands at 2.52 and he’s struck out 10 batters in back-to-back starts

Love this!. The ABS challenge system is what I would expect to be making it’s way to MLB at some point . It works well in Triple-A and is a quick thing. It also adds some entertainment value if you’re in-stadium as they show it on the board like the tennis Hawkeye system.

Ronny Mauricio is hitting .344 with a 1.010 OPS in his last 10 games. Mauricio should be in the lineup every day, specifically against right-handed pitching

Ryan Clifford crushed a grand slam (off a position player) for his 17th home run of the season for Double-A Binghamton. Clifford ended up with two home runs and 7 RBI on the night

Sean Manaea in what should be his last rehab outing with Triple-A Syracuse:. 3.2 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 1 BB, 5 K. He threw 73 pitches (48 strikes) and generated 12 swing & misses. His fastball topped out at 92.8 mph.

Ryan Clifford hit a 3-run homer in the top of the 1st tonight for Binghamton . Clifford now leads the Eastern League with 16 home runs. He has also homered in 3 of the last 5 games.
