August permit numbers and in and it turned out to be a pretty slow month, especially for home construction. We issued 174 permits for new single family homes, nearly 100 less than July, and a 16% drop compared to August 2024. YTD totals are now at 1,988. (-6%) #housing

Here's the breakdown of homes by jurisdiction for the month of July. @epccolorado_ led the way with not only Detached Homes, but Townhomes as well. EPC had a total of 134 new homes, followed by COS with 117, Fountain with 10, Monument with 7, and Palmer Lake & WP each had 1.

Inspections were up in July, partly boosted by a slight increase in single family homes and reroof permits. We performed 23,899 inspections in July. That's about 2,000 more than in June. Shout out to our inspectors for all their #hardwork in the summer heat. #inspections

July was a busy month for single family home plan submittals. We received 260 plan sets for new homes. That's up 14% compared to July 24. Does that mean more home permits are on the way this fall? We'll have to wait and see. #plans #planreview #newhome #newhouse #design
