We've added Auto Model as an option in the chat models dropdown! Auto Model runs a "meta model" on your input text and chooses from ~20 different models to determine the best model for your input. Takes the guesswork out of choosing models and can save on costs too!

If you're vibe debugging and getting stuck, it's often a good idea to switch the model being used. Often times the new model will figure it out where the previous one failed. Sonnet4.5 Gemini 2.5 pro etc

I really hate subscription-based pricing. Especially for today’s AI clouds. Sometimes I need to process a batch but plan limits will stop it. Next month I will not need it. Or want to experiment with competitors, but subscription motivates me to stick there.

Claude Code’s last update now auto-compacts more aggressively, using less of the context window to reduce costs. Users are also reporting stricter rate-limits, all of a sudden getting cooldown periods of 4 days. Anthropic dug themselves a grave getting everyone to sign up for
