Children of the City, a fanzine dedicated to celebrating all the wonderful OCs of the Project Moon world!
An interest check will run from 9/1/23 to 9/30/23.
If you have any questions, please ask on Retrospring or down below, they will be compiled into a FAQ!
Contributor Roll Call!
The new employees we've hired on have all undergone orientation, and are ready to get to work! Hopefully, this time, they'll be able to keep their arms, legs, and heads intact...

We're almost to the halfway point of the interest check, so here are some answers to questions that have been asked! Please continue to share the interest check and ask questions.
If you are interested in helping behind the scenes, please message me.
Here are the results of the interest check, along with additional information pertaining to them- such as groups and a new submission category! Thank you all for filling it out!
For those curious, application result emails are currently being sent out! If you don't receive one within the next 24 hours, please message me!
Additionally, please remember to check your spam folders, as these emails have a tendency to get caught there!
As of now, all emails have been sent out!
I would like to thank those who applied for helping make this possible. Regardless of the results, everyone did absolutely fantastic and should be proud of even taking the leap! Keep creating, and keep sharing your works with the world.
We're in the home stretch! 24 hours remain until applications close!
Get those in if you would like to participate, and feel free to ask for a copy or any modifications you may want to make to yours!

Applications have officially closed! My sincerest thanks to all that applied!
I will be going over submissions over the next couple of weeks, with the final date for emails being sent out being November 24th!
Due to unforeseen issues with the email client, not all of the application response emails have been able to be sent out. I apologize for any frustrations this may cause, and am working on fixing it now.
Today is the last day to submit the interest check for the Children of the City zine, so please get that filled out if you haven't yet!
Information gathered from it will be released in the coming days!
Some additional information on groups and registration for them! Registration will make it easier to keep track of groups, and allow for better communication. It will run the length of the application period.
@MewStupid
They often do. This zine will be rated 16 and older in accordance with LC's age rating. It can contain canon typical violence and themes, but will strictly prohibit NSFW content.
@tkt__1925
Additionally, I would like if each person filled out the application individually. In that application, there will be an affiliations question where they can specify what group they are a part of. That way it will be easier to track on my end. Collaboration is encouraged!
@Daniel_Employee
Once that time is up, all the works are compiled into a document and then shared! Works are typically kept secret until that time. That's the basics on how zines such as this work! (Done)
@Daniel_Employee
This zine is very open, with many spaces and a relatively low bar of entry. Then, contributor acceptance messages go out, and then the work begins! This period will last many months, and will have check-ins to make sure everyone is doing good. Extensions will be available!
@Daniel_Employee
First, we have an interest check to gauge if people are even willing to read it and participate! Vital for profit and printed zines, helpful for this one. Then, people apply for a role in it, such as drawing or writing. (2/?)
@Daniel_Employee
A fanzine is a "publication" done by a group of fans for something they like. In this case, it is for Project Moon OCs. There's a person or group that hosts it and organizes it, which is me for this. The end-game for this is a collection of fanworks. (1/?)
@KellyNewbie_LC
To apply to actually take part in the zine, I need to see two to three pieces. The application process is more of a "are you able to do the thing" check along with gathering information. The application pieces can be any piece of art, not even OCs-
@MewStupid
An interest check is how we gauge interest for a zine and will give a rough estimate of how many people will contribute what. It's vitally necessary for profit and printed zines, and helps me plan ahead with this free, digital one.
@Tipi0000
Art pieces can be a half page, full page, or a two-page spread of anything. If you want to do a comic specifically, then you have a two page limit.
@kittycatkanou
It can be as detailed or as abstract as you want, a full containment cell or paint spatter. The main goal of it is to tie the piece together.
@project_ZCorp
Hello! First, we will have an interest check followed by an application period that will run Oct 13 through Nov 10th. That application will let me get everyone's information down and included. Hopefully, this answers your question! Here's the basic manual!

@MimiGuo127006
No, that will be done during the application period itself. This is just an interest check to gather information for the zine.
@tkt__1925
Hi, thank you for the interest! Currently, I am looking at doing one submission per person- but that will depend on the interest check results. You could submit pieces either way, but if you do it separately, please specify that you are part of a group.
