The Government shutdown theatrics is so predictable. Voters refuse to hold their elected officials accountable for this now common occurrence. So the parties turn to what they know best - finger pointing, blaming, shaming & fundraising off their inability to do their jobs.

Said it before & I'll say it again. If the Federal Government was on the hook to pay victims of gun violence, be they survivors, family members of the deceased, kids & educators who are scarred for life in a 9/11 commission type construct we'd miraculously start to see change.

So much anger, pain and abuse sown daily on this caged bird app. So rather than clip wings and withhold food, I'll offer hope, love and civility into the algorithm as a seed planted for those who know that the rain will come.

Preach and practice love, understanding and compassion. This poison pill of rage and retribution consumes the soul. Love thy neighbor and practice grace. It’s a much better place upon which we stand when we ask future friends to dance. I’ll bring the instruments of happiness.

American exceptionalism must keep our children safe - We have a Dept of War. We must also have a Department of Child and Family Wellbeing. The kids are not alright ya'll. Imagine going to a place of learning everyday wondering if that's the day someone is going to kill you.

If everyone is disgusted with the gun violence destroying our country, and our children’s mental health the only question of importance is what the hell are we gonna do about it? If it starts with stable healthy families we better invest in families. Cause we don’t now.
