for some people, life doesn’t truly begin until they’re 26-30. the way we romanticize and obsess over youth is super harmful. your life is not over at 21, i promise you. it’s just beginning

@PISCESPRADA At 28, I got myself out of debt, worked my ass off, & just purchased a home a few days ago. I feel more happy every year since I’ve turned 25. While my 20-24years felt like my darkest. I’m thankful for where my age is taking me.

@PISCESPRADA i literally didnt comprehend things the way i thought i did until i turned 25. thats when i started to have a true sense of self and direction - emphasis on “started.” assuming you live to your 80s…think about how young your 20s & 30s are. life gets better as you go imo.

@PISCESPRADA Let's take it even further, your (ideal) life can begin at any age. People can completely reinvent themselves and pursue their dreams at 40, 50, 60...

@PISCESPRADA @coolkidmiri There’s so much of my life I didn’t get to live in my early 20s and teens because i had strict parents and when I went to collage I had no knowledge of how to date or even take care of myself. I’m 25 now and just learned how to move into a house and how to have friends.

@PISCESPRADA I know it's just that I feel weird knowing there's people my age already accomplished big things like I feel maybe I'm not working hard enough or I just don't have the privilege 🤣

@PISCESPRADA @bryantfaith_ The way 26-30 is still “youth” people need to realize old is only a mentality

@PISCESPRADA Thank you, and I hope so, I really do. My life has stuck on standstill for the past 3-4 years now. It’s so hard watching people my age going out and experiencing life whilst struggling to get out of bed most days and not being allowed to mix with others.

@PISCESPRADA For those of us well into our 30’s and above, that 27-33 transition period is literally one of the most transitional time frames in existence.

@PISCESPRADA @MDZScrapbook So true! And it is such a harmful thing to tell youth, "These are the best years of your life!" when, for most of us they were the most awkward, painful, & difficult. Life will get better, probably sooner than you think. 💜💜💜

@PISCESPRADA @bringthecat Absolutely. At 27 I said screw it and started from scratch and it was the best decision I could have ever made.

@PISCESPRADA Just turned 26 and I honestly can’t say I had been as happy as I’ve been the last year, so life definitely kicks up as you grow up.

@PISCESPRADA @Staya_Stray I think it is because life was basically over after youth...at least for the older generations...they often didn't even try to escape the hamster wheel

@PISCESPRADA It’s not harmful it’s called having desires & some people receive those later in life & that is also fine. In other words it’s okay to be inspired

@PISCESPRADA this is crazy insightful. these early years should be spent falling in love with the concept of walking rather than the destination

@PISCESPRADA It can just be beginning at 43! Luck and coincidence continue. Just stay in the game. Life will sort the details out. Onwards.

@PISCESPRADA When I was younger I knew that it was trash. I used to say I am built for being old. Getting older has been wonderful for me.

@PISCESPRADA I got divorced at 28.. . I thought the best part of my life was over, but it was only beginning. Now 20 years later I'm the happiest I've ever been - great job, own my home outright, can do whatever I want bc I don't care what ANYONE thinks. It only gets better!

@PISCESPRADA I remember being so depressed during my “prime years” and people would tell me “it only gets worse so suck it up”. Like that only increased my thoughts of death and not wanting to be apart of this world… but honestly 25+ has been a huge shift in my life and only getting better

@PISCESPRADA fr. i’m 18 and still don’t feel like an adult like everyone hyped it up to be. i still do everything that i did when i was 17. and i probably will at 19. enjoying this while i can until i actually have to do adult things.

@PISCESPRADA Having been born, raised and still living in a developing country, I don't know if I can relate at all. Y'all are so lucky to even envision when your life will start. Over here, I'm in my 30's, still on survival mode, wondering if it'll ever start at all.

@PISCESPRADA So true! But with social media and small world now, you can ruin your life before 21 if you aren’t careful. The longer we can protect our youth and allow them to make mistakes, grow and develop out of the bright lights of society- the better the 20s will be!!

@PISCESPRADA also you don’t have to be above a certain age to have valid life experiences. the stigma goes both ways sadly. if you’re under 16 it doesn’t mean you haven’t lived yet. it just means you have a lot more life ahead.

@PISCESPRADA it's all in divine timing, some starts at 33, your divine feminine energy just blossoms 🪷 and the stars ⭐️🌟✨ align in your favor like magic. Wutever your past experiences before that age is less-to-nothing in comparison. It's like an awakening and your light begins to shine...
