Machine shop called & said they needed different rods cause the ones outta latest engine rebuild all the caps were walking & not staying tight in the tangs. I think they were suprised when I came walking in with NOS IH DT407 connecting rods... full of cosmoline and still wrapped.

Customer called and wanted me to get new tires for his Bobcat Telehandler... think he got his money's worth outta the original ones! Went from a Camso tire (tractor tread) to a Good Year Power Load tire (hybrid all terrain) He is very impressed with ride quality and traction.

Well, after what we thought was gonna be a super early year for cutting grass hay, I just cut the last of my first cutting... latest I've ever cut. Just have not had much of a window to get it down and rolled up without turning to crap. Should ton up good, but it ain't worth much

How many IH guys do you know have the special RH tap for tie rod tubes... let alone the LH tap for Wheatland outer tie rod tubes? Huge shout out to McMaster Carr for having USA ones on hand. Only place I found that had them in stock and in my hands in a couple days!

I was reminded today of why I very, very rarely buy anything from All States Ag Parts... I despise them with a passion. Nothing but false advertising and piss poor service... what was pictured vs. what I received. If I had known this I wouldn't have bought any.

40 years ago today marks the last IH tractor (5488) to roll off the assembly line at the Farmall Works plant in Rock Island, Illinois.

Out with the old, in with the new... well not quite yet but getting there. Had bigger reliefs cut into pistons and chamfered for valve clearance for custom grind high lift cam, also had fire rings cut into sleeves to hold some power without popping head gaskets left and right.

Quick PTO rebuild with a few updates... customer told me it was done at a large Case IH dealer 2 years ago, found they failed to put a clutch housing gasket in, which resulted in lower pressures & slipped all the discs and scorched the spring... quality "Certified Technicians"...

Random shop things... couple DT466 engine overhaul kits I need to cut fire ring grooves in sleeves, 68 Ford FE 390 engine I drug home because I have an addiction, and hard to find late Super M grille and hood... never a dull moment!
