Today on National Day of Awareness of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (Red Dress Day), we remember the over 1000 missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and Two-Spirit peoples. Let's take steps to understand the truth and the continued impacts of colonialism.

On National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women we remember all of our stolen women, girls, 2-Spirit, and LGBTQIA+ relatives. The @peelschools #COY students at Maawnjiding Wiingushkeng created this #RedDress display to raise awareness.

A special piece made by @peelschools Indigenous students and @powlessandco. We made sure to incorporate a greeting our friend Navajo friend Dana-ban taught us when she visited in September. We will always think of her when we see this.
